A Dream In Celluloid: A Brendan Poem

It started with a playful glance

those melting eyes, hypnotic trance.

A friendly smile to light the heart

across the miles we'd remain apart.

You stood their proud and gave your speech

debonair and tall with a fine physique.

A kiss to set the soul on fire

it's clear that you're the one desire.

Passion and tenderness to me he's shown

so many things are still unknown.

The parts are played with such great ease

could it be that you're just a tease?

Legionnaire, Lawyer, dad and psychotic

all of it found to be so erotic.

I've laughed, cried, shouted and shrieked

was shocked, stumped, puzzled and freaked.

But when the movie was over and I fell asleep

the dream was all I had to keep.
